Michael Esper’s theatre credits include: The Glass Menagerie (Edinburgh International Festival); the Sting Musical The Last Ship (Broadway) in which he recreated the role of Gideon Fletcher, a role he originated at the Bank of America Theater in Chicago; American Idiot the Tony-winning Green Day musical in which he originated the role of Will and Nicky Silver’s The Lyons in which he created the role of Curtis. He also appeared alongside Frank Langella in A Man For All Seasons. Additional noteworthy theatre credits include: Tony Kushner’s The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide To Capitalism And Socialism With A Key To The Scriptures, a role he originated (The Guthrie Theater/The Public Theatre NY); Assistance (Playwrights Horizons); Tales From Red Vienna opposite Nina Arianda (MTC); The Agony And The Agony (Vineyard Theatre), As You Like It (Public Theater), Big Bill (Lincoln Center); Crazy Mary And Manic Flight Reaction (Playwrights Horizons), The Four Of Us (Manhattan Theatre Club); and Suburbia (Second Stage Theatre).

Michael’s recent television includes: Recurring roles on Shades Of Blue and The Family; Guest Star roles in AMC’s Halt & Catch Fire; Person Of Interest and The Good Wife, a recurring role on Seasons 6 and 7 of Nurse Jackie, and a series regular role on Do No Harm. Past TV credits include: Bunker Hill for TNT and Law & Order.

Most recent feature film work includes: Brad Furman’s Runner, Runner, Frances Ha, and The Drop. Additional film credits include the Andrew Jarecki feature, All Good Things, A Beautiful Mind, and Loggerheads, which competed at the Sundance Film Festival.
